Raymond Helmuth

Raymond is a jack of all trades, and a master of all!

Born and raised in an Amish family in Hazelton, Iowa, Raymond has packed a lifetime of experience in his young life. Growing up with 11 brothers and sisters, and working in horse farming from day one, Raymond is a natural with horses, and they know it.

Raymond has been driving and riding horses his entire life. In addition, he continues to master all aspects of horsemanship, from creating harnesses to shoeing to competing. Raymond showed for the prestigious Simpson Percheron's for several years and has transitioned into competitive carriage driving and riding dressage. 

In the sport of Combined Driving, Raymond is currently competing at the highest level (FEI ***).

Kate Jestel
Assistant Trainer

Born and raised in Davenport, IA Kate has been riding for most of her life. Kate has developed a passion towards horses and their people. Growing up in a lesson barn she had the opportunity to take western, dressage, and jumper lessons. She loves to compete in both riding and driving competitions.

Kate was introduced to driving at Helmuth Equine. She has gained a ton of experience in her short driving career. She has competed at the Midwest Carriage Festival, Villa Louis, Skunk River, and the Kentucky Classic with Raymond's and clients horses.
